What is the Cancer Association of Marshall County?

The Cancer Association of Marshall County, Inc. was formed in 1962, when a group of concerned citizens came together with a desire to help fight in the war against cancer.

With the insight, dedication and preserverance of its founders and the many volunteers who have served the organization through the years, The Cancer Association of Marshall County (CAMC) continues its work to provide services for cancer patients who reside in Marshall County, Indiana, and to foster a continuing program of health, education, and research in the field of cancer.

  • CAMC is a not-for-profit Indiana Corporation
  • CAMC is completely staffed by volunteers of Marshall County, Indiana
  • CAMC does not solicit or hold fund raisers.
  • CAMC funding is received only through private donations, memorials, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority.
  • CAMC is not affiliated with the American Cancer Society or any other organization

  • Services of the Cancer Association of Marshall County

    CAMC assists residents of Marshall County who have been diagnosed with cancer who contact CAMC or have been referred to the organization for cancer related assistance*.

    Services may include limited assistance* with:

  • Medication relating to cancer treatments
  • Oxygen needs due to complications of cancer
  • Medical supplies and medical equipment relating to cancer care, wigs and prosthetics.
  • Transportation to and from treatment centers
  • Physician and treatment center relating to cancer treatments
  • (*Assistance comprises of costs not covered by insurance.)

    Additional Services:

    Upon requests from medical facilities and nursing homes located in Marshall County, CAMC assists in funding for needed equipment, products, and material that will help aid cancer patients through their treatment.

    Eligibility Rrequirements:

  • Cancer patient residing in Marshall County
  • By referral, specific request by authorized medical personnel for assistance, contact by patient or family member.
  • Cancer patient must complete and sign required CAMC assistance form for review and approval
  • Applicable insurance providers, Medicare and/or Medicaid has been filed

    To perform services for cancer patients and foster a continuing program of health, education and research in the field of cancer in Marshall County.

    Helping in the Fight against Cancer since 1962


    CAMC is excited to be in communication with the Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center - Cancer Institute located in Plymouth.

    CAMC looks forward to providing further community service through the Cancer Institute's requests and guidance

    When additional funding has been available, research grants have been bestowed to universities and laboratories with in the state of Indiana

    Donations and Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated and needed!
